Deep Whitening

Whitening (Bleaching) Treatment

Your smile is important. It's one of the first things you notice when you meet someone. A whiter, brighter smile is beautiful - it can help you feel better about yourself and make a memorable impression.

Your lifestyle and the aging process can stain and darken your teeth. Many things we do on a regular basis can contribute to stained teeth, such as drinking coffee, tea, cola and red wine or smoking. Also, during routine chewing, dentin remains intact while millions of micro-cracks occur in the enamel. It is these cracks, as well as the spaces between the crystalline enamel rods, that gradually fill up with stains and debris. As a result, the teeth eventually develop a dull, lackluster appearance.

Whitening can get your smile looking its best. Non-professional procedures and clinically unproven teeth whitening tips can often lead to unsatisfactory results, you should look for a whitening procedure that is:

  • Fast and convenient
  • Long-lasting
  • Low sensitivity
  • Proven to be safe and effective
  • Performed by a Dental Professional

Significant color change in a short period of time is the major benefit of in-office whitening. This protocol involves the carefully controlled use of a relatively high-concentration peroxide gel, applied to the teeth by the dentist or trained technician after the gums have been protected with a paint-on rubber dam. Generally, the peroxide remains on the teeth for 20 minute intervals that add up to an hour (at most).

HOW DEEP WHITENING COMPARES WITH OTHER WHITENING OPTIONS

DEEP WHITENING: The most effective whitening process available today. Everyone’s teeth have a natural biological limit to how white they can get. Historically, once you reached this limit, no amount of additional whitening would lighten your teeth further. However, this Deep Whitening system will extend this previous limit and allow significantly more whitening. It is a combination of in office and at home treatment. It is highly effective and gradual so you can stop the process when you are satisfied with the results.

ZOOM Chairside: Takes about 45 minutes resulting in about 8 shades whiter teeth. It provides immediate results that are long lasting; less fadeback; is safe and comfortable and is performed by a Dental Professional.

At Home Trays: Takes 7-14 days resulting in about 6 shades whiter teeth.

Whitening Strips or Paint-on Gel: Takes 7-30 days resulting in 3-4 shades whiter teeth.

Whitening Toothpaste: Takes 1 month or more resulting in 1-2 shades lighter teeth.

Results fade if you stop using the toothpaste and only works on superficial stains.
